3. Hosting and server logs
Our website runs in a Microsoft Azure data centre in France (EU, region France Central, Paris). The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
When a page is requested, the server necessarily processes your IP address, date and time, the requested address and browser and operating system details, to deliver the page and keep the service secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably). Log data is deleted after 90 days.
4. No tracking cookies, fonts served locally
We do not use cookies to measure reach. Fonts and all other parts of the website are loaded from our own server; no data is sent to third parties such as Google Fonts when a page is viewed.
5. Reach measurement with Umami
To understand which content is read and how visitors find us, we use the open-source software Umami, which we operate ourselves in our Azure environment in the EU (France); no data is passed to its maker or other third parties.
Processed are: the page viewed, the referring page, campaign parameters in the address (e.g. utm_source), browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language setting and the country derived from the IP address, as well as clicks on contact buttons and submissions of the contact form. Umami does not store your IP address; a pseudonymous value that does not identify you is used to count visits. No cookies are set. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in statistical analysis and improving our offer).
6. Contact form and email
When you write to us through the contact form or by email, we process your name, email address and message and – if you provide them – company, phone number, number of shops and type of business, together with the page you send the enquiry from and the page you visited before. If you have consented to advertising (section 7), campaign parameters of the ad that brought you to us are included.
The purpose is to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry aims at a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
Your enquiry is sent by email to info@g2gmbh.com and you receive a confirmation by email; we use Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) as processor. Our team also receives your complete enquiry in an internal Telegram chat: name, company, email address, phone number, message, type of business, number of shops, the page of the form, the page visited before and campaign details, if any.
The website itself does not store enquiries. We delete enquiries from our mailbox once they are fully handled and no statutory retention obligations apply, at the latest twelve months after the last contact. To protect against spam, your IP address is briefly used in memory to limit the number of enquiries per sender; it is not stored (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
7. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Recipients of your data are the service providers named above (Microsoft). Data is transferred outside the EU only in the cases described above.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
Right to object: where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
A message to info@g2gmbh.com is enough to exercise your rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
9. Obligation to provide data and automated decisions
You are not obliged to provide personal data; without your contact details, however, we cannot answer your enquiry. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling.
